The dorms will ultimately cost $700 million to build. The city of Rio plans to convert them into 3,600 luxury apartments after the Olympics, with prices up to $700,000, according to an Associated Press report.
Like the venues, the village buildings are in various states of completion. However, at least some of them are completed enough to allow tours.
Kitty Chiller, the head of the Australian Olympic Committee, recently took lá tour and posted some photos to her Twitter account.
