Purchasing a reborn doll is based more on emotion than sense- the heart rules the head. The props and sets used in photos are all designed to take you in this direction. Baby powder, soft toys, lace and fur are all intended to make the doll look (either sleeping soundly or appealing to you with open eyes) so irresistible that you want to pick it up and never put it down.
The price range of Reborn Baby Dolls is between $50 to $300 which generally includes the baby suits they come wearing in, a fleece blanket, a pair of booties, sometimes a hat and rarely a companion, if ordered so. The best loved reborn dolls for sale can be found on Amazon and eBay.

Primitive Raggedy Ann Dolls: Raggedy Ann dolls are always popular. But the primitive or country versions can really bring in good money. Cynthia’s Primitives has some really nice examples of this genre in her gallery. And doing a quick search on eBay for “primitive raggedy ann” will show you that there are many people out there selling these dolls!
When I parted with my second doll, I took her to the local pharmacy, which also serves as our post office, to have it weighed. Dolly got passed amongst the 6 staff members, all cuddling it along the way. I watched in fascination as a line up started with customers in the store ‘wanting to hold the baby’ What fun we had that day. What a hoot!
I was so pissed, I told her to refund my credit card now! I was told my card would not be refunded until they got back the train. WTF!?!?!? Are you kidding me! They send me the wrong item, and now I am responsible for sending it back, or I bought it! What’s up with that.
The first year of life for the twins was a whirlwind. My two oldest children loved the thought of having two new Reborn Babies in the house. The novelty of dressing and feeding the babies and learning to change diapers and make bottles was surreal to them. They could not help enough. I was always catching them picking up the babies toys and folding the babies laundry when I was knee deep in lunchtime. Their help was invaluable. Then came the terrible twos.
My daughter has taken her reborns out shopping with us and of course she (is 6 years old) gets sick of carrying them so I end up having to carry them. I am caught in a difficult position. Do I nurse this baby like its real and people will think I am a nut who nurses dolls OR do I just carry her around like she is my daughters doll that I now have to cart around?
The faces with the newborn wrinkles, the little tiny veins, and even mild diaper rash come painted on the Reborn Dolls. You can even get a heartbeat if, you request one, that is powered by a battery.
She is as cute as a button, and her title name suits her well. She comes in a sitting position, wearing an adorable pink and white 2 piece outfit. Her top is a little tie up, that shows her tiny bulging belly. On the back of the shirt the words Cute As A Button are written. The O in button has been replaced with a cute pink button, instead of the actual letter in stitching.
It’s a damn shame really, because I had ordered so many dolls from this company, and now because of this once incident will never ever again order from them. They truly need to fire whoever they have in charge of packing and shipping over there. I had never run into such rude, idiotic practices from this company before. Nor do I plan on making the same mistake twice. I instead bought my tiny Emmy doll on ebay for a lower price than they had advertised anyway.
