In this game, Pokemon are ranked by CP (combat points) rather than levels, so, for example, you obviously won’t want to take your level 200 CP crew in against a gym where the leader has a CP of over 1000. Luckily, the game can now be officially downloaded by folks living in the USA, on both iOS and Android. A joint venture between The Pokemon Company, Nintendo and app developer Niantic Labs, GO differs from the usual handheld Pokemon video games by focusing less on battles and more on moving around in the real world to find creatures and claim territory.
You’ll get a single candy from that Pokemon every time you do so, which is immensely helpful given the amount of Pokemon you’ll need to catch to evolve anything valuable (like a Gyarados). Doing so will get you Candy for the Pokemon you transfered, which you can then collect to eventually evolve that Pokemon. Niantic Labs, Nintendo and the Pokémon Company kicked off a the Pokémon Go Field Test earlier this year.
Firstly, you can get most or all of those items at any Pokestop, and you can earn in-game currency by installing your powerful Pokemon at a gym to control it. But when you start seeing orange and red rings, you’ll want to maximise your chances of success as much as you can — especially once you start trying to capture Pokemon with Great and Master Balls.
When you do eventually spot a Pokemon you want to catch, you can change to Augmented Reality mode which uses your smartphone camera to view the Pokemon standing in front of you, in your physical environment. With the number of tester they had there was no possibility to get the server issue figured out. Unless you are using the Pokemon Go Plus, which requires Bluetooth to sync with your phone, turn your Bluetooth off. During gameplay, Pokémon GO players will be encouraged to join one of three teams and engage in Gym battles with other teams. Pokémon Go does include gym battles, but battling is one of its biggest changes from the Pokémon games many of us know and love. But while a lot of people have just experienced Pokemon GO for the first time, there were plenty — myself included — fortunate enough to get some time in the closed beta.
